I’m a 30-year-old Sales and Marketing Manager living and working in London.
I got into sales and marketing after completing a Joint Honours degree in English and History at the University of Liverpool. After a 6 month stint working for a music events company, as a Marketing Assistant, I was hooked, but realised I would need
a better foundation to get the career I wanted. I went on to Leeds University and took an M.A in Advertising and Marketing.
On completion I was ready to hit the big city and moved down to London.
My early career saw me working client side for the leading sports and events, corporate hospitality company. That was a job in a million. Being able to market my passion of sport was a dream come true. Everything from tennis at Wimbledon to golf at St Andrews.
I decided to move on in order to learn more about modern forms of marketing, specifically social media. I joined one of London’s leading brand and digital agencies – Rufus Leonard. That’s where you’ll find me now, 5 years on I think I know quite a bit, but that’s never enough in marketing. The one thing I do know is I made the right decision to get into marketing. It’s an ever-changing set of challenges that takes intelligence and creativity to solve – and that’s my passion.
Away from work I like sports, music, and gadgets, but don’t like bad weather. I should speak at least one foreign language by now, but can’t. I really wish I could play the piano and certainly won’t be happy until I have tried every sporting activity there is out there.
